PONTE 402 MOST – inverter rectifier for welding with covered electrode and TIG DC method (arc striking by rubbing the end of the tungsten electrode). The PONTE 402 rectifier is a professional welding device for welding practically all types of electrodes (including those with cellulose coating) and to a limited extent for TIG DC method welding or arc gouging. To increase the safety of the welder when working in electrically hazardous locations, the device features VRD function, which reduces the open-circuit voltage to approx. 9 V. For easier
arc ignition when welding with MMA electrodes, the HotStart current can be set. When welding pipes, the ArcForce function is also useful, which means current adjustment is not required when the welding position changes. The device can optionally cooperate with a remote control accessory. The control panel is legible and user-friendly for the welder. PONTE 402 meets the requirements of the 2009/125/EC EcoDesign Directive (power source efficiency 89%, idle power consumption 27 W).
