FANMIG 340i is a modern inverter semi-automatic welder for MIG/MAG or MMA covered electrode welding. FANMIG 340i is the natural successor to older compact step-regulated welding current semi-automatics ("transformer" type), such as the FANMIG 320-4 MOST. The device is intended for welding steel, stainless steel, or aluminum (after changing the wire feeder setup and welding gun). Welding parameters (voltage and wire feed speed) are smoothly adjustable. FANMIG 340i is a compact device, i.e., the power source and wire feeder are housed in a single enclosure.
The device is powered by a three-phase 3x400 V mains supply.
The 4-roller wire feeder allows welding with wire from 15 kg / K300 spools. Recommended steel wire diameters: 0.8 mm; 1.0 mm or 1.2 mm, for aluminum 1.0 mm. After changing the polarity, self-shielded flux-cored wires with diameters 0.8–0.9 mm can also be used.

The control panel is equipped with two welding parameter displays. Parameter setting is done using two knobs, and the arc can be adjusted with an inductance control. Switches are used to select the MIG / MMA welding method or the welding gun button mode 2T/4T.
