PONTIG 202 AC/DC MOST is an inverter welding rectifier for TIG welding in argon shield (arc ignition by HF ionizer) or shielded MMA electrode welding (Stick). The device features excellent welding properties and a wide range of applications. The low weight makes the Pontig 202 AC/DC MOST an excellent solution for field work.
Primary applications include light and medium-duty welding in:
- Welding aluminum structures, vehicles, signs, etc.,
- The food industry and stainless steel installations,
- The chemical industry and pipelines,
- Handicraft and production of lightweight steel or stainless steel items,
- Yacht building (rigging), etc.,
- Hardfacing and regeneration.
The control panel is easy to use and features a display showing the individual welding process functions.
Pontig 202 AC/DC MOST welds in the TIG method with DC or pulsed current up to 200Hz. When welding with AC TIG, frequency and balance control is available for highly efficient aluminum welding while maintaining weld quality.
The MMA method provides HotStart and ArcForce functions. Pontig 202 AC/DC MOST has all the additional functions needed for professional TIG welding (pre- and post-gas flow, current ramp up, crater fill, etc.).
