We would like to emphasize the necessity of using appropriate gas accessories, as required by relevant regulations and laws. The introduction of higher pressure cylinders necessitates the use of new regulators, the cost of which is quickly offset by the extended use of the cylinders and simplifies stock management. The use of regulators, flashback arrestors, and pressure regulators is mandated by the Regulation of the Minister of Economy of April 27, 2000, on occupational safety and health in welding work (Journal of Laws of 2000 No. 40, item 470):
§ 21. In every case where welding equipment is supplied by gas from a source where the gas pressure is variable or greater than the nominal pressure of the receiver, a pressure regulator should be used at the point of supply.
§ 23.1. When welding equipment is supplied by fuel gas from a battery of cylinders, a bundle of cylinders, a gas generator, or a pipeline, a flashback arrestor should be used at every gas supply point.
§ 23.2. When oxy-gas burners are supplied with gases taken from cylinders, flashback arrestors should be used at the inlet or inside the welding gun. This requirement does not apply to oxygen supply hoses in cutting torches designed for cutting.
§ 24. Flashback arrestors should be used in accordance with their purpose, type of gas, and nominal pressure and flow values.
